Looking back at Whittier from part way up the slope.
Begich Towers, the large residential building, is where almost all the residents of Whittier live.
It is a poured concrete structure that was built by the military as a barracks when Whittier was little more than an army installation.
It has since been purchased and converted to civilian use.
As with all the stitched panorama photos in the albums, to see it full size:
1. Click on the photo sizes icon in the upper RH corner of the page.
2. Click on "Original" in the drop box.
A popup window will open that fits the monitor's screen.
3. Then, click on the popup window with the "+" cursor.
4. the photo will open up to its full 600 to 900px vertical size.
You can then scroll the photo L to R to see the most detail.
