Canoeing Placer River Marsh
After what I was told at the award meeting, I was bound and determined to get a placement ribbon the following year.
I spent the next summer and fall working on photos for the next competition.
I submitted six photos, sure that at least one would place.
This one took 1st in Waterways Recreation and Best of Show.
I had a Nikon N8008 with the Multi Control Back.
I set the camera up on a tripod on an island in the marsh, set the control back to begin taking photos a few seconds apart after a period of time.
Then, I paddled out into the scene, timing my location for each exposure.
This is my favorite from the series.
It doesn't end here.
